Clinical Investigator

In terms of content, the Clinical Investigator Course meets the requirements of the Joint Commission of the Swiss Medical Schools / Schweizerische Medizinische Interfakultätskommission (SMIFK) and consists of three one-day courses which can be split into two or three modules. All courses are accredited by Swissmedic.

The introductory course is primarily directed at all those who are involved in the implementation of clinical trials. The advanced course focuses on the requirements of principal investigators and sponsors of Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs).

Introductory Course

for Clinical Investigators and Study Nurses
(Basic, one day)

• Covers the basics of Good Clinical Practice as well as ethical and legal guidelines
• Imparts the basic knowledge for conducting clinical trials

Advanced Course

for Principal Investigators and IIT Sponsors                
(Advanced, two-day or two one-day courses)

• In-depth introduction how to conduct clinical trials
• Tasks and responsibilities of the principal investigator and sponsors with Investigator Initiated Trials.
