Educating experts and promoting young talent

Conducting clinical studies is very complex and requires specialised knowledge. Only well-trained study personnel are able to successfully carry out clinical research. The SCTO supports high-quality training and further education of both medical and non-medical staff.

The SCTO’s Education Working Group promotes national training and further education standards as well as the coordination and expansion of course offerings. Besides basic and advanced courses in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for investigators and study personnel, the CTU network’s training opportunities also currently include training programmes for experts in the field of clinical research and postgraduate training as well as other courses.

Furthermore, the SCTO is closely linked to the European Patients' Academy EUPATI, which pursues the goal of involving patients more closely in clinical research.
