SNSF Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials (IICT) 2026 call | How to successfully address the patient and public involvement (PPI) requirements

An online PPI course for researchers applying to the SNSF IICT 2026 call

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) will soon launch the 12th call of its Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials (IICT) programme. The programme supports clinical trials on under-researched topics that address both medical and societal needs. A core requirement of the IICT programme is the meaningful involvement of patients and the public (Patient and Public Involvement, PPI). Applicants must clearly describe how PPI is integrated into their project in both the Letter of Intent (LOI) and the full application.

To support researchers planning to apply to the SNSF IICT 2026 call, the Swiss Clinical Trial Organisation (SCTO), in collaboration with the SNSF, is offering a dedicated online course on PPI requirements.

Date: Tuesday, 3 March 2026, 16:00-18:00
Format: Online
Language: English
Cost: Free of charge

During the course, participants will receive practical guidance, concrete examples, and actionable tips on how to successfully address the IICT PPI requirements in their LOI and application.

The submission deadlines for the LOI and full application will be announced soon on the SNSF website.

Registration is closed.
